As I typed the second line from the lyrics above I thought of "Hit me baby one more time" and I almost wanted to forget doing this post entirely. Just thought I'd share that thought with you ...

Whoever said disco was dead (did someone even say that?) was wrong. Sort of. It's not quite dead ... but actually reincarnated in the form of electro/synth pop in the rise of such acts as Cut Copy and Hercules and Love Affair. The former is an Australian trio who made their debut in 2004 with Bright Like Neon Love. "Lights & Music" is from their latest album, In Ghost Colours, released last year (that's 2008 for those of you who aren't used to the fact that it's 2009).

Favourite Part: The way the song builds up each time right before the chorus.
