Your faith was an illusion
And you're as loyal as your faith
Named after a line from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and armed entirley with keyboards, Au Revoir Simone write soft and simple synth-pop tracks. Formed in 2003 in Brooklyn, the trio of girls released their second album last year. "Stay Golden" is the last track off their first album--Verses of Comfort, Assurance & Salvation. The synths loop as the girls sing, providing some comfort and assurance. But if salvation is what you're looking for, then you'll have to hit the play button again.
BONUS: Check out their cover of Rod Stewart's "Young Turks." And if you just can't get enough of them, then check out Reverse Migration, a compilation of 13 remixes of their songs by Hot Chip & Air among others!
